Meanwhile, households account for 61% of food waste, with urban and wealthier areas wasting the most.

🌱Karthik Gunasekar (Ahimsa Santai) Eco-social changemaker at the crossroads of organic agriculture, nature-based livelihoods, and climate change. Co-founder of Aram Thinai and coordinator of the Tamil Nadu Organic Agriculture Network.
🌱 Shwetmala Kashyap (WRI India) Food Waste Program Manager at WRI India, driving research, policies, and strategies to combat food waste. Previously, she tackled solid waste management and air pollution at RPPC Bengaluru.
